Irritable Santa

December 19, 2008

A Christmas Story for people having a bad day:

When four of Santa’s elvesgot sick, the trainee elves did not produce toys as fast as the regular ones, and Santa began to feel the Pre-Christmas pressure.

Then Mrs Claus told Santa her Mother was coming to visit, which stressed Santa even more.

When he went to harness the reindeer, he found that three of them were about to give birth and two others had jumped the fence and were out, Heaven knows where.

Then when he began to load the sleigh, one of the floorboards cracked, the toy bag fell to the ground and all the toys were scattered.

Frustrated, Santa went in the house for a cup of apple cider and a shot of rum.. When he went to the cupboard, he discovered the elves had drank all the cider and hidden the liquor. In his frustration, he accidentally dropped the cider jug, and itbroke into hundreds of little glass pieces all over the kitchen floor. He went to get the broom and found the mice had eaten all the straw off the end of the broom.

Just then the doorbell rang, and irritated Santa marched to the door, yanked it open, andthere stood a little angel with a great big Christmas tree.

The angel said very cheerfully, ‘Merry Christmas, Santa. Isn’t this a lovely day? I have a beautiful tree for you. Where would you like me to stick it?’

And so began the tradition of the little angel on top of the Christmas tree.

I will do my best to get your images ready for your viewing pleasure asap.

Thank you

What a week

December 9, 2008

In the midst of all the hustle and bustle of the holiday season my kids decided it was time to torture their Mom and Dad.

Two weeks ago Evan woke up and had a hard time walking. He fell to the floor and just could not walk. We brought him to the ER, they couldn’t find anything wrong so they sent us home. A few hours after being home, he was walking and everything was fine. Until Tuesday!

Tuesday morning Evan woke up in pain again. This time he could walk, but it was still painful. We were not able to get him into the drs until Thursday where they drew blood and ran a bunch of tests. Nothing abnormal. Everything was okay, yet my little guy still couldn’t walk. By Saturday, the pain was getting worse so we took him to Children’s Hospital where he was admitted. He was diagnosed with Reactive Arthritis. Apparently he has some type of virus that decided to settle in his knees and cause all sorts of problems. We were discharged tonight and I am so relieved. They will be delivering a walker and a wheelchair for Evan tomorrow. This is going to be a big adjustment for us, but a much better alternative to what he could have had.

Now in between all of this Sidney started with migraines. She’s been to the ER and a drs appointment since Thursday evening.

So I’m off to bed and if you need anything please feel free to contact me……tomorrow……after noon!

p.s. don’t mind the crappy cell phone image.  I had to snap this when these two came in to visit!
